    This is Frank Zappa with another teeny-bopper commercial for Hagstrom guitars and amps........

    If you remember that line, you're a geezer like me. Frank liked Hagstrom and actually did commercials for them WAY back in the 60's......and they were actually pretty good sounding guitars.

    My oldest pal and the bass player in my first band got a terrific sound out of one of those Hagstroms (before we all chipped in so he could buy a '66 Jazz Bass, whihc he still owns). You can see him playing in it (stripped of its paint) in the "retro rig" thread.... I guess it was most like the red one in the pic above.

    I just played a new Hagstrom Swede type guitar. It was pretty uneventful.

    NIce lookin' collection!

    The bass player in my blues band plays a transparent red version on the one in the King's throne (lawn chair on the left ).....(the single cutaway hollowbody with 2+2 tuners)....(the black one)....

    Sound really grows on you despite the fact that we call it the IKEA bass.
