Whoa. Gold leaf? I saw a silver leaf one on the Private Reserve site. I think these are the kind of guitars people buy to display and not to play. Who would gig with a gold leaf Strat? Surely that finish wouldn't survive one night out.

Oh, okay. I skimmed the description and saw nitrocellulose and thought the whole guitar was nitro. I couldn't imagine a thin lacquer doing well over gold leaf.

But hey, if it's durable, I want one! In case I ever join a 70s funk band.

I'd be more concerned with a thin nitro topcoat over silver leaf.

Although you'd probably get really cool patterns on it once it checked.
