Marshall's Mode Four head is 350 watts. I mean, if you're going for excess, why hold back?

Several guitars in different colors
Things to make them fuzzy
Things to make them louder
orange picks
"....from purple Marshalls' majesty, above the fruited plain..."
"I'm gonna find myself a girl
that can show me what laughter means
And we'll fill in the missing colors
In each other's paint-by-number dreams..."
200 W of tube power through 8x12 speakers.
At least as loud as a Mode IV.
And when you go deaf, at least you'll have a smile on your face.

One of these days i'll build a red or white JTM45 clone.

I just got that cd off ebay! you know a story i found out about that ? Thre dude who was the singer had a funny pronunciation...so, what the song really is is " In the garden of EDEN baby, dont you know that i love you"...which is even cooler!!!
What's not cool is what happened to that guy. According to something I saw on TV years ago, he became some kind of scientist or engineer working with the government. At one point, he "knew too much" or something along those lines, and disppeared after going to some meeting. His family suspects foul play.
EDIT:Sorry, that would've been the guy who took over on bass in the 70's, not the original singer. My bad.
Here's the story.
Back to Marshall stacks.

Pretty crazy story. He sure sounds crazy, according to the Wiki article.
At least, whoever wrote the article wants us to believe he was....
Skunk Baxter better watch his back.

A Full Stack seperates the Men from the Boys. Its A Full Stack Thang!
The classic 4x12 is the worst thing to have if it is going to be pointed at the audience, as the upper mids and highs shoot straight out like the beam of a flashlight. Everyone in the crowd hears a different tone. All the folks who the cabinet is pointed at hear is your cabinet.
A 1x12 with a BeamBlocker ( http://www.webervst.com/blocker.html ) gives the widest, most even coverage, but with a lot of sound hitting the floor and ceiling.
A 2x12 setting tall-ways will remove some of the ceiling and floor spill, and retain the horizontal spread. It will still be too loud and thin right in front though.
A full stack is not much better than a single 4x12.
