Exciting new neck repair methods (not for the squeamish)

I'll bet none of you ever thought to fix a neck the way this one was done.

I don't think the turnbuckles affect neck relief much, but nobody else can dial in the desired amount of sturdiness the way the winning bidder of that gem will be able to.

Tempting, but not in that colour. Does he do refins?

There should be a Department of Guitar Welfare charged with taking guitars out of the the hands of people who don't deserve to own them. (There should be one for cars, too, but that's another story.)

Somebody also needs to tell him that you don't have to use all of the string that comes in a package.

I think I've seen 'juanito's' work before. It was on a broken down '72 Nova on the shoulder of the 405 Freeway.

That's some serious fretboard wear past the 17th fret. The owner must have been a meedly meedly shredder type.

I think the Tonepros turnbuckles sound really good. Just tone to the bone! They're made from titanium, I think.

Or at least I read that on the Interweb...

They're pretty good, but this moron got paint on them.

Everyone knows that metal needs to breathe.

It's Ok, as long as he used nitrocellulose lacquer, as they did on the 1950's vintage turnbuckles.

Ok... That's like a flag that's been torn to hell. Burn it properly, because that shouldn't see the light of day again...

    (save the pickups, though...)

Why are people bidding over a grand on this P.O.S.? Do you think Hendrix played this one too?

I think the bidding got as high as it did out of pity.

That guitar needs more love than any musical instrument that I've ever seen.

Plus think of the challenge! If somebody got a hold of that and made it pretty again.......think of the bragging rights! Before and after pics would be priceless!
