    My Strat Plus is Possessed!

I have a '95 Strat Plus that I bought new. Just lately it's started to do some really strange things. The traditional single coil noise is now louder in the out of phase positions than on the straight settings. That's the the opposite of other Strats I've owned.

Secondly, when I roll back the volume on the guitar I get a ground hum that I don't get when it's dimed. I've already replaced the cable and checked the amp, plus I don't use pedals. Has anybody experienced this type of problem with a Lace sensor Strat?

Sounds like one of your ground connections has come loose or a solder joint has cracked. Pop the pickgaurd off and take a look.

    Good luck........

Replace your volume pot. Sounds like it's shot.

    Possessed Strat...Update

Thanks for your replies guys. My computer has been on the fritz too so I haven't been able to check in. Anyway, this crazy Strat has HEALED ITSELF! Obviously some kind of intermittent short but hey, with my luck lately I'll just just shut up and take it to the gig. Thanks, all.

Just remember...its better to have your Strat possessed than to have it re-possessed!
