    Orig. '62-'63 Fender Reverb Unit

I've owned the reverb unit for over 20 years and have just starting refurbing my '62 Blonde Bandmaster which is why I bought the reverb tank. I was looking over the reverb unit and saw the 1/4" jack on the bottom of the chassis, between the two preamp tubes. I can't recall exactly what it's for. My recollection is that it's for a footswitch since Fender recommends only using the tank with a clean channel vs distorted. Can anyone confirm or correct me on that? thanks, jerry

If it's like the reissue, then yes, it is a footswitch jack.
