65 Super Reverb, Bassman, or Blues Deville

I have a Blues Deville Reissue 4x10 demo on loaner while waiting for a new amp. I was considering keeping the loaner, but there is a lot of buzz, either from the speakers, or cabinet. I like the BD, but it has alot of output for bedroom/practice volume. At 60W, it just may be too much.

I know these amps are not the "real thing" but they do sound good in their own right. The 65 SR is 45W, and the Bassman is 50W. I generally play blues and classic rock.

Anyone have a recommendation on which way to go??? Or should I consider another make and model.

    Thanks!

    John

Have you played through a DRRI?

A few folks really like them...including myself. I borrowed one from my brother-in-law and loved it. Great sounding out of the box w/o mods. Figure it can only sound better with better tubes and a speaker swap...if you are into that.

Has a great blues scooped mids sound. Only 22watts. The more you turn it up the fatter the tone.

I have a BlDlx and the DRRI is more "bluesy" IMHO.
