    Ibanez FL-9 Flanger thoughts?

Anyone use one of these? According to the reviews I have read they can emulate a ton of sounds? from what i have read...............

    roto leslie
    hard-core to subtle flange
    buttery sparkle
    mild phaser-like warble
    lush chorus sounds
    open/fixed wah sounds
    steel drum sounds

They are noisy & lo-fi, but very warm as well. I've had a few of them. The one I have right now is pretty old & beat up but it sounds cool. I don't use it much, though; my Rotosphere takes up that job now.

I've had three of them. Very warm. You can tweak nice flange-chorus-trem-vibro and phaser tones.

I have a Guyatone micro flange now and I love it. The FL-9's are great old pedals. The CS-9 is my favorite chorus ever. Again, warm and round.
    Carry On!

I don't know about the rotary sound...I've got an Arion SCH-1 that does that so well that not much else I've tried compares. But my original FL-9 is a really nice pedal. Think Rolling Stones - Shattered. It does the rest of the stuff you mentioned pretty well too.
...and on the 8th day, God created the Super Reverb and there was ROCK, and it was GOOD!

It's the only pedal I have "from back in the day" that is worth anything, according to Ebay, etc.

Now that you mention it I should plug it up and see if it still works.
