"MGN" preceeding serial # on plate

Any of you late model Fender nuts know what this means? Purportedly some kind of "Mastergrade" model, with A.Y. wound pickups, form ABOUT 6 years ago. I have not looked inside yet. Has the Custom shop decal on back of headstock. The 3 tone burst looks like a regular production Vintage Reissue on alder. Medium weight. Any incite appreciated.

Hello! From what you have said and what I found on the Fender Site the MGN probably stands for "Master Grade" and then "N" stands for the 1990's. The next digit after the "N" is the year so if it's 6 yo then it's probably N9 or N8. Does this help?
