Moto,
I don't think it's ugly, just different.
If, at first you don't succeed, don't try skydiving.
Two leaps per chasm is fatal!
It looks very MEATY......
I have never gotten to check one of these out. How does it feel (neck.....body weight, etc.)
and ....
What does it sound like? Any special fetures?

I totally dig it! A super beauty in my eyes!
Thanks For the comments guys!
Frank, the Bongo bass is a very comfortable bass. The body is shaped and contoured so that it just joins with your body. The neck is nicely rounded so that it fits your hand just perfect. Really, this is the most ergonomic bass/guitar that I've ever played.
The body is made of basswood, so it's not too heavy. The neck is maple with a rosewood fretboard. The headstock is compact, so the bass balances perfectly - no dive whatsoever.
It comes with a compensated nut from the factory for perfect intonation. And the pickups/18 volt preamp are stellar! The tone is very deep, yet retains clarity throughout the range. Very nice sound!
I know that I'm still in the honeymoon phase, but this thing rocks! It's not going to replace my Lakland, but it will compliment it perfectly.
Um. Its different but if it makes you happy then that's cool.
They're REAL anyway.....
difference is the spice of life. now quit typing and go play that thing!
