What is the difference between replication and duplication?

Hey all. I'm looking at getting two things. My band is working on a CD and we'll need to make copies. Where do we start? I've found many places online that duplicate/print and package bulk CDs, but;

what should I look for in a duplicator?

what the heck is replication?

My take is this: duplication means CD-R's, replication means making a glass master and manufacturing commercial CD's. That's what it means in my world.

Truth is, I've had WAY too many clients tell me that poppyseed bagels are the reason they popped a positive, despite their multiple prior convictions for heroin possession. Call me skeptical, but I tend not to buy it.

Best one lately though was the dude who wanted me to tell the judge that his mom's angry new boyfriend had put cocaine in the salt shaker so that he'd pop a positive and have his probation revoked, all because new boyfriend wanted him out of the house so he could be alone with mama.

The judge looked at me over his glasses and said, "Jesus Pedro, that doesn't even pass the laugh test." Now new boyfriend has at least 6 months of alone time with mama. :lol
