    Fender Reverb Unit Footswitch Question

Today I bought a re-issue Fender Reverb Unit. It didn't come with a footswitch and I'm thinking of making one myself. I'd like to use a standard guitar cable that will plug in on both ends so I can use different lengths for different situations. Can anyone out there make some recommendations on what kind of switch to use and how to wire it? I tried the footswitch that came with a friend's Blues Deluxe, but that didn't seem to work.

    Thanks

    Joecaster,
It uses a normal on and off switch. Any single button on and off switch with a 1/4 inch phone plug will work. The Blues Deluxe and HRD Footswitchs are active devices that work with an OP amp inside the Amp and will not work. The one that comes with the Reverb RI are for sale on E-bay all the time, but are usually alittle high. Hope this helps.
