    PU recommendations

    Hey all,

Have another strat on the way and have been thinking about what to use for PU's.

It has Duncan Al II pros installed but I have the "vintage" thing pretty well covered so I was thinking of trying something a bit hotter.... and with some sort of hum repelant...stack or whatever.

Maybe somthing along the lines of Dimarzio HS-2/3.

Any groovy stuff that I should check out?

Not interested in Hot Rails or anything that hot....something with some character...ya know?

    Thanks

Kinman AVn Blues! I put them in my Trad Strat and they are 100% noise free with single coil tone and hot, but not stacked humbucker hot (check out the Harmony Central reviews). Chris Kinman's service is outstanding (you can tell this just by checking out his (lovingly?) constructed website), and the price is very reasonable for what you get.

I must admit I have not tried others, but I always check reviews/comments related to his p/ups and to be honest I can't remember seeing anything bad.

I've heard great things about the Kinmans! Mr Kinman even posts here once in awhile in the pickup section.
