    Question of Chris Kinman...

    Hi Chris,

    I have a 2001 Fender American Nashville B-Bender Tele.

I love it and am moderately satisfied with the current pickups. I have an Fender American Std Tele neck pickup, a Fender Texas Special Strat pickup in the middle, and a Duncan APTL-3JD (Jerry Donahue) pickup in the bridge.

    Issues:

    1. I'd like the neck pickup to sound more like a Strat neck pickup without installing a Strat pickup.

    2. The bridge pickup, while being a nice pickup, just isn't "sparkly" and punchy enough for me.

What would you recommend from your pickup line that would help me to achieve the Tele-pickin tone I need. I play alnog the lines of Brent Mason, Jerry Donahue, Danny Gatton, Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, and the like.

    Thanks,
    Butch

Butch, dunno what went wrong but I posted my reply here a week or two ago but I didn't check to see it. Here goes again.

Anyhow, here's my thoughts..... I rekon my AVn-60b for the bridge position and my AVn-48n for the neck position is what you'd like. These pretty much satisfy your descriptions.

    Thanks Chris,

I looked at those models on your website. They do sound cool.

    Cheers,
    Butch
