Los Lonely Boys /GREAT STRAT TONE

Run, No Race to your CD shop and get the Los Lonely Boys CD. Not only are the songs and playing the very best I have heard from any new artist, the Strat tone is 7 thumbs up :rofl .

Listen to the rhythm parts. The Tone is so clean and glasy!!!!!!!!!!!

The are backing up the Allmans most of the summer.

Yes, he was interviewed in Guitar One or Guitar World 2 issues ago.

My guess is he will soon have enough cash to get whatever he wants.

He uses a 60's Classic MIM Strat. I keep telling everyone these are all you need with a pickup swap and some bridge tweaking they are as good as any Strat. He can already afford anything he wants there is a reason he is playing that 60's Classic guitar instead of a USA one and its not the price.

I use MIJ's to support the Original '62 I've got. I just don't want the old girl on the road so to speak. I also have 2 MIM's. The 3 MIJ's , which are wonderful, and the two MIM's (just OK, and best I've played) all together do not hold a candle to the old '62. The vibe isn't there, the tone isn't quite on the money, the feel is more stilted and stiff.

I'm not against the MIM's, Marcondo...I own 'em! But as good as any Strat...?ahhhh...No.

I saw them on the Pepsi concert thingie on the WB channel. It was cool and it's nice to hear some non D tuned guitar chugging from a new artist.

I liked the poppy song "Heaven" but I didn't think the tone was all that. It was that common front pickup strat tone. It didn't have that throaty growl though. Playing was decent. With those thirds on the intro riff, It reminded me of a Jimmy Buffett-Santana style tune.

I've been listening to the CD all afternoon...great vocals also...not hard to tell where their influences are coming from...one of the best new releases in a long time.

I agree, when I first heard that song "Heaven" I thought this is the best fresh new stuff out there. I love the tone, vocals & arrangements...very good stuff! I really like these guys!

Wife looked at the CD cover and said that, "They look like an L.A. street gang. How can they look like that and play so great." I told her that it's just an image. Probably the reason that most of us never make it is because we look too normal.
