    My new toy

Hi folks. Sporadic reader, even less frequent poster, but I just have to show you a pic of my new bass:

When it comes to guitar playing I mostly play gibsonesque guitars, but recently I've started playing the bass more and more and frankly, the Fenders are the best I've found. This bass will probably make me sell my 5-string Warwick

This baby is a 1979 P-bass with a recent repaint. It's currently stringed with rather heavy strings (.065 .085 .105 .135 ) and tuned one whole step down and mostly with the "e-string" dropped another whole step giving me notes F C G C (high to low) .

My music is a bit harder than indicated by the colour of the bass, as can be heard on amp-rocks.com

Actually I like it more and more. If this is one of the "bad 70-ies" fenders, I can't wait to get my hands on a good one. The tone is vibrant and alive.

Na, it feels quite good. That thick string tuned low equals a lot of movement. Any lower and string buzz would be unavoidable. :wail2
