around $1,100- $1,500. Master volume? the dreaded 135 watter?
I've played various silver face twins and if you find a good one..buy it. cosmetics don't make the tone.

$1100-$1500 sounds really high to me for a '74 Twin even with JBL's. I would estimate more in the neighborhood of $700-$850 and possibly more for a really mint one with footswitch and cover.

The 67-69 drip-edge Twins can get pricier though.

I agree with $700-850, depending on the condition. I paid $700 for my '69 w/greyframe JBLs, but grito was in a good mood that day...

The JBL upgrade is definitely worth the money if you like that sound.

That sure is a good bud deal! grito, ya have any more drip edge amps you don't need anymore? You know those worthless ones without the blackline faceplates :tw59

To be fair, the amp came without power tubes. Grito wanted to keep them (cheap bastard!!;))
