    I'm no fan of Guitar Center, but if this is what passes for comedy these days... I kept waiting for a joke.

    It's probably me. I think comedy today is a lost art. It seems anything laced with four-letter words and a bucket of snark is considered comedy. Not that I lack either in abundance, but even I only dose it out small morsels at a time. Comedy for me is the likes of Jonathan Winters, Red Skelton, Robin Williams, Steve Martin, Tim Conway, Bob Hope and that ilk. Like I said, a lost art.

    I love that stuff too, OS. I grew up on a diet of Jack Benny, Groucho, Don Rickles, et al. I guess the whole world has changed, some for the better, some not. But I’ve also always loved dark or philosophical humor. Carlin, Python, Dave Allen, Gervais. I guess I have one foot in each of those worlds, just as I am a country boy and city slicker too.
