Fender & St. Laurent to Issue Limited Edition Stratocaster

From Uncrate: "Music and fashion have always been tightly bound, making this collaboration between Fender and Saint Laurent a natural pairing. The guitar that started a revolution, the Fender x Saint Laurent Stratocaster comes finished in black, with a black pickguard, headstock, controls, and three lipstick single-coil pickups. At the base of the bridge is subtle Saint Laurent branding in grey. The deluxe, black velvet-lined hardshell case features the luxury brand's logo, and for completionists, a Saint Laurent-branded '65 Deluxe Reverb amp is also available. Only 10 guitars are available at Saint Laurent's Los Angeles and Paris locations."

    $12,500

    What Kardashian shit.

That amount of gloss black needed a Kardashian-powered filter to make it shiny.

Body shape is a little off.

Could just be the lighting but the forearm contour looks a bit severe. I'll defer to Bob and Mark on that one though.

They mentioned 10 in two locations. Is that ten in both locations - meaning 20 guitars, or 10 total? It's important if I want to buy 10 of them, that I'd get them all!

Chuck, you're seeing the edge of the light box (soft box) right at the round-over for the contour. It's not really that severe.

Since it's not likely any one of us is going to actually buy one, much less ever see one in person, I'm not sure that a millimeter or so is really going to make a difference.

Besides, my micrometer eyeball plug-in is on the fritz, so I can't tell for sure.

Thanks Bob. I figured you know.

So my guess is really that these are promotional guitars to be awarded to people so the "list price" is pretty irrelevant as they are never going to be retailed.

I like the blackout with the lipsticks though. Nice vibe.

Matte black would have been juicy on that one too!
