    Farewell Walter.

    Thanks for the music.
I have decided to be happy because it's good for my health.

I'm not burnt out on Steely Dan but I won't desecrate their music by listening to inferior transfer to CDs. I didn't have any on tape. I got a remastered Aja CD and it's practically like listening to it back in the day. I was trying to find it earlier but can't remember where it could be. I really need to get the rest of the catalog up to Aja.

I deeply regret not having seen them in concert recently. Everybody I know that have seen them said it was the best show they've ever seen

    Re: Farewell Walter.

I'll be putting my old Steely Dan albums on the turntable today. Their music has meant so much to me over the years. One of the things I like best about his and Fagen's writing is the humor--some of their lines are just hilarious. "Turn up the Eagles, the neighbors are listening."... After all, "Steely Dan" is a dildo from Burroughs' Naked Lunch.

The songs and musicians are incredible. Back in the 70s, when I went to buy a turntable or tape deck, or went with someone else to buy one, the salesman would inevitably use a Steely Dan album to demonstrate the clarity of their product. Seriously, happened many times.

My first Dan album was Pretzel Logic, but my favorite is Royal Scam.
If we'd known we were going to be the Beatles, we'd have tried harder.--George Harrison
