    Finished!

    I started this DR build several years ago, and took my time. I built turret boards, reverb and different voicing on both channels, and (since I had one), a multitap Hammond OT. I "finished" it last year, but had a bug, got frustrated, and moved on to another project. I got it back down a while back and found I had misread the multiplier on a resistor. I installed the correct value, and all is well. When trying to install the chassis in the cabinet, I found nothing fit! I had to move the chassis inward, as well as the speaker baffle, which was also too short. I made a spacer to cover the gap between the baffle and the chassis, Finally, it's together, I test fit the Jensen concert that needs a new cone, and installed a JBL in the meantime, it sure is sweet!

    Hell Yeah!

    That is one triumphant victory!

    It's the bugs in the build that teach us the most.

    Ima thinkin you're gonna like the JBL.

    That's beautiful! The spacer between the chassis and the grill looks intentional! Like "I meant to do that". I imagine it sounds great! What's the different voicing?

    Re: Finished!

    Thanks all!
    I changed some cap values in the "normal" channel, I don't remember off hand the values, "normal" is brighter. I used the SS rectifier because I robbed the GZ34 I bought for it for another project, I plan to get another, and re-bias. I haven't cranked it up yet, I suspect the SS will make a difference at higher levels, but not really noticeable yet.

    Wow! Love the look of the tolex!
    "...pray do not imagine that those who make the noise are the only inhabitants of the field;
    that, of course, they are many in number; or that, after all, they are other than the little,
    shriveled, meagre, hopping, though loud and troublesome, insects of the hour."

    Just an update with the 60's Jensen EM speaker installed. (Weber reconed it).
