Bassman 59 Reissue vs. Bassman 59 Reissue LTD

Does anyone out there know the differences between the 59 Reissue and the 59 Reissue LTD? I mean tonally and construction wise. I've heard that many prefer the original reissues, whether made in Corona or in Mexico, and that these are made of birch plywood, while the LTD's are made from pine (as the originals are).

I owned a '58 Bassman for many, many years and know these are excellent, powerful amps with amazing tone when cranked. I only sold it for financial reasons and now find myself priced out of the market for another vintage one. Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated.
