I've gone over the edge. I have THREE guitars arriving this week, all Gibsons. The first, a 1998 Les Paul Special SL arrived today. It's not a closet queen; it's been used on stage, in the studio and on the road. For a 16 year-old guitar, it's in remarkable shape. And having tuned it and plugged it in, it now makes me understand all the hate that's been directed at the 2015 model year (my other LP). This guitar F*****g ROCKS!!! It's got a narrower neck (I guess this is the slim taper), and is well-balanced and lighter than my LP Classic.
I really need to get out my good camera. I suck at taking photos with a cell phone.
The pickup selector switch tip broke during shipping, but I've found and ordered a replacement. I also got a nifty "vintage" case for it.
