    New to the forum

Hi I am new to this forum !

But now I have a nice 1963 telecaster to play with I thought I had better join !!
I have been a member of the les paul forum for a lot of years ,
I have a few vintage les pauls ,but never fancied a Fender .
But now that I have a 63 telecaster I thought that this would be the place for some sound advice
My guitar has had a few parts changed over its 52 year life span and I would like to put
it back to as near factory speck as possable ! if I can ?
I know a fair bit about vintage Gibsons ? but what I know about vintage Fenders you could write
on the back of a match box Lol !!

First of I know the bridge has been changed does anybody know what bridge should be on it ?
ie, pat aplied for ? pat nos on bridge ect ? I really havent got a clue ? I have looked on
the web and there is no definitive answer seems like there is a few dif ones can have been on it ?
its neck date is nov 63 ,
All help would be much apreciated

    Cheers Tom

    Welcome!

Have you checked the pot dates? I'm guessing here but a neck date of November '63 is probably an early '64 model.

    Pics are a must!

    Welcome to the forum.

    Congrats on the Tele.

There is nothing like a good Telecaster. I was pretty much a Strat guy until I got my Tele. Now it's my go to.

Hope you get a lot of pleasure out of that ax.

    Re: New to the forum

Step 1: take pictures of the guitar with your camera or cell phone

Step 2: upload the pictures to a pic hosting site, such as tinypic.com, imageshack.us or photobucket.com (I myself prefer photobucket. you have to register, but then you get to have an account with all the pictures organized)

Step 3: Copy the links to the pictures back in the pic host site. After writing your post here, just click on the picture icon above (right under the smiley) and paste the link.

Step 4: submit the post and read our replies cheering and envying your guitar.

I like any excuse to show off mine. And what a handsome player I'd be if the lights had just been a lot dimmer...

    Sergio,

They're the Burstbuckers that were in a Les Paul Standard Faded that I sold last year. I had put Classic 57s in it and thought I'd try the BBs in the Strat. They sound better in it than they did in the Les Paul.
