MESA MC90 Black Shadow Cone Cry

Up front... I want to make it clear that, in general, I AM a fan of the MESA/Celestion MC90 Black Shadow speaker.

Lately, I've been playing my MESA/Boogie Express 5:50+ through one of my MESA LoneStar 23" single 12" (MC90 Black Shadow) loaded cabs. I wasn't aware, at first, that this specific speaker is prone to some pretty severe cone cry on notes played on the high E string above the 12th fret (primarily noticed when bending notes upward). In general, as stated above, I really like the MC90 Black Shadow (tone wise) with this amp, but the cone cry is highly noticeable and unacceptable.

What speaker is available that would be similar to the MC90 Black Shadow - minus the tendency toward cone cry?*

    -Thanks!

*The only speaker I'm not too interested in is the Celestion V30!

Do both of your MC90's do this?

Does it happen when you are using both cabinets?

I like my MC90, it covers a lot of ground.

I have noticed some high end funniness when playing very loud clean single notes.

I don't remember it happening when the speaker was newer.
    What happend?

No cone cry with the MC90 in my other LoneStar cab or in my 5:50 combo. The speaker in the cab specified is a little over 2 years old. Due to a health issue this past summer I wasn't able to play through this cabinet for about 5 months. I just don't remember ANY cone cry prior to my temporary "lay off".

I really like MC-90s (minus cone cry).

I'm looking at 2 other speakers for this specific "box". The Celestion Cream Back looks interesting as does the WGS ET-90.
