    NBD... for our bassist

So, our bassist, who was a Cort player, bought his first Fender P-Bass today.

    A black MIM Standard.

He's happy as a puppy and I thought I'd post about it here because I went to the shop with him to help trying out the instruments and I must say this one is a real thundermaker... Great sound.

I'll post pics later and he'll probably be a member of TFF soon.

I'm a dyed in the wool P fan, hard to beat! Yes, there are more knobs and choices with other basses... But for my money, a P is my desert island bass. I seem to be able to do everything I need to with it. Set the amp up bright so you can get "that" growl, then back the tone knob down for "regular".

Congrats man! Put a Tort guard on it to really make it right. Cuz everyone knows that a cool looking bass equals more tone... LOL
