Which Bridge for 1997 Mexican Powerhouse Strat?

    Hi all,

I've just bought a Candy Apple Red 1997 Mexican Powerhouse Strat body off ebay for a project to build a new, more authentic Gilmour Red Strat (with EMG's).

It's literally just the body so I need to know what size bridge to buy - is it the same size as in my 2005 Mexican Standard? I am looking at Fender branded and Callham or Wilkinson and will be keeping the vintage style (6 screw) with rolled saddles. I'll also want a better block - probably a steel one.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Mark

Go with the narrow spaced Callaham. You will not be disappointed.

I got a lovely trem block for my Squier from a chap in Wales. He took the original block to make sure the screw holes were all in the right place and made it to the length I specified having measured my trem cavity. Ł27.49 including return postage. And he turned it around within a week...
