Need a Nashville type bridge to replace ABR-1

I recently swapped pickups and installed a new wiring kit in my Les Paul Custom. Well, while I'm the upgrade mode I thought it would be a good time to replace the gold ABR-1 that came stock on my Gibson CS-356. I prefer the Nashville type bridge on my Custom (yes, I know it isn't "historically" for Les Pauls but this isn't about a LP, but is for my 2004 Gibson CS-356. I'm looking for ideas on the best way to do this would be... since the studs are spaced different I can't just pull off the one bridge and slap on the other. But I don't want to have to drill the top on the CS-356 either. Anybody making a "conversion kit" for the different studs? I am trying to get away from the wire on the ABR (mine buzzes even after I tried to tighten it down) and I like the longer range on the Nashville when it comes to setting the intonation, etc. So anybody got any ideas?

    How about this?

It does not give the increased intonation range, but it is wireless

Re: Need a Nashville type bridge to replace ABR-1

What I suspected (but had hoped that maybe there was some new product I wasn't aware of) seems to be the case... no conversion from ABR-1 to Nashville without drilling the top, which is something I don't want to do. I also need the bridge to be GOLD to match the rest of the hardware on the CS-356. I'll probably end up with the non-wire Gibson ABR-1 is what I'm thinking. Thanks for the input.

Re: Need a Nashville type bridge to replace ABR-1

I have put an ABR-1 on Nashville studs on at least 3 guitars. The spacing was not an issue (not enough to matter, anyway). A bigger concern might be that the holes in a Nashville bridge are larger than the holes in an ABR-1. I had to enlarge the holes on the ABR-1 to fit. The Nashville will fit but it might move around.

A cleaner solution would be an aftermarket bridge that was designed to replace an ABR-1.

I put some clear nail polish on a few points on my current ABR-1 and the wire is quiet.

Yes, I asked this on LPF.

I'm probably going to go with either a TonePros or the Gibson non-wire ABR.

After more research I ended up ordering the TonePros AVR2 G-Formula replacement
bridge. It should be here next week and I'll do a report once I get it installed.

Here's a pic that is similar to what it will look like on my CS-356
(albeit I don't have the Bigsby, etc.)
