    Wiring a Fender Cobalt Samarium?

    Thanks in advance btw.
Picked up a Fender Cobalt Samarium bridge pickup that I'd like to try out in my E series 80's Japan Squier. The electronics are still the original ones. There are 3 leads for the SCN pickup, and I can't seem to find any diagrams on the web as to what goes to what. Any advice? And anything else I should know before trying this out?

Again, thanks for any info provided.

The American Deluxe 2004 (which I happen to own) uses these.

    Here's a wiring diagram:

The AmDlx has the S-1 switch, but don't let that throw you. Basically the green wire is shield ground and the black wire is signal ground. They get tied together at the common ground point on the back of one of the pots. The white (neck), yellow (middle) and red (bridge) wires go to the 5-way switch just as you would normally wire a strat.

Thank you very much. Hate double posts, but was amazed how little info there was out there via Google and other usual sources of info. Thanks again.

Check out the files in this folder: http://mcquain.com/lespaul/StratWiring/

I used to have a Strat with the SCN pups and had the same problem as you when I was putting it together (i.e., lack of info on the web)
