    Thoughts on the G&L Comanche?

There's a music store going out of business close to me. They've got two G&L Comanches in stock, listed at cost.

I stopped by the other day and the whole block was without power for some reason so I didn't get to plug in to hear how they sound. Seem like pretty sweet guitars, though. I'd have liked to hear that whacky-ass Z pickup.

    What say you?

Not that I need another Strat-like guitar, but...
    s'all goof.

Re: Thoughts on the G&L Comanche?

Sometimes I don't like the big frets on some G&Ls I come across.
But there was an ambery/butterscotchy Commanche that I loved in my former favorite (now gone) shop in Norwalk.
It reminded me of a more crystalline Stratty version of my Schecter.
To me, the p'ups were slightly hot/fat, but still crisp and kinda' hi-fi.
It had a silky smooth trem too.
