    R9 Refinish

    Hey lads...
    Im having my historic '59 Les Paul refinished. Its being done by a luthier in Niagara on the Lake. Fred Gabrsek is the man.

    Wow. That before picture looks pretty good to me.

    When you say "rubbery" vs "crystline" do you mean it's soft, or is it something visual?

    Also, is Lemon Drop a shade of burst, or is it the shape of the burst pattern?

    Sorry, that phtot scared me. Not sure why but refin'ing a burst les paul just seems impossible to my simple brain.

    I viewed the entire photos outlay of his custom build Les Paul - amazing detail and obvious patience... some of his restoration work is amazing to me. I am thinking your guitar is going to come out great deepblue1963.

    Nice job on the refin. Not my cup of tea as far as the finished color choice, but it's not my guitar either and I didn't pay for the job so my preferences really don't mean anything here. I still enjoyed watching the process as it unfolded, and think you did a fantastic job.
