    Tube Tester Help...

I found a Radio City Products Model 807 Tube tester for sale for $75.00
It looks to be in perfect condition.
Anyone have an opinion on this? I can't seem to find much info on it.

Sort of just wondering if I should go back and pick it up for $75.00
    Maybe it's worthless?

Its not a GM type tester but its far better than nothing.
This type of tester will test out rectifiers well and tell you if preamp tubes are at least good or not.
Preamp tube wise it will let you compare your tubes you have now to at least source out your best ones.
Output tube wise these testers are just ok as they do not apply quite enough voltage for any tube that can put out more than 3 watts.
All in all at least you can test for shorts and a good test for tube life be it preamp or output tube is to lower the heater volate and see how much the tubes out put drops off, as a good tube will not loose much at a 2 volt or so lower heater voltage.
So in general, yes grab it for 75 bucks.
A lie gets half way around the world before the truth even gets a chance to get its pants on!
