I think I broke my neck....

I have a Musikraft neck lying around that I was going to use for a Tele project. It had sat outside for about 6 months or more in a closet...in coastal Georgia...then inside for a year or so so I decided to try out the truss rod just to make sure that it still worked before I futz with it.

I put the allen key in...and pushed the truss rod adjustment part ALL THE WAY INTO THE NECK. Can't really reach it with an allen key any more.

I guess that means I have really a $200 paperweight now?

Like my head, dose it rattle if you tap it?


Try backing out the fastener and put in a few washers- I duuno worth a try. Good luck!

It doesn't rattle, but it's a Telecaster neck with the heel truss rod adjust. There's no getting the "female" end of the allen key part out of the neck. It's all the way back in there and out of alignment with the hole. It's done. Good firewood now I guess...

Now I just need to order a neck from Warmoth to go along with the body.
