Wire Length on New Pup Install

    Greetings,

I just got some new Custom Shop '69 Strat pickups and am ready to install them.
Since these pickups are all of the same value in spec, and the wires are all the same length, should they be left alone or can the wires be shortened for a neater cavity?
Do such things as 'line loss' (or whatever it's called) affect the output of these kinds of pickups?

It seems to me, that if Abigail Ybarra of the Custom Shop is making these pups, consideration would've been put into all aspects of this pup to achieve those true '69 tones.

    Anybody know?

    It doesn't matter.

If you're not sure if you'll like them leave the leads full length for now so they'll be easier to sell if you find that they're not for you.

yep, don's right on. leave them long, if you do like them open the guitar back up and clean up the wiring if you want to.

Longer would make it easier to fix things should something go bad.

If you wanna tidy things up just tape the leeds together so they all line up nice and neat..
