    Nice!

From the sublime to the ridiculous (how is this girl the only one with a signature Tele?):

    Sheryl Crowe kills me.
    Sort of like Bonnie Raitt.

A lot of talent there, but not any real good tunes to show for it.
And Crowe...I'd think about that and start plotting EVIL just to get that guitar collection!
Raitt-always struck me as a hip gal that got lucky with one album for all that work she did with John Lee Hooker.
And that album wasn't "all that".
Her slide work did sound good, but that is as far as I'll go with it.

Wait-that IS Sheryl Crowe in the third pic of the first post isn't it?
    Otherwise...nevermind.

Cygnus X1--Good gracious, dude. You've got to put this one in your Odd Thoughts threads. It's too juicy to throw out on a thread with pix of chix.

It was just a fleeting thought.
    Not odd enough to qualify.

    Thanks for the thought, though.

Though she's been known to play lots of different guitars over the years, the blue Tele has remained a constant.

Beg to differ I was invited to a sorta semi-private deal a few years ago where Sheryl was the 'featured entertainer' but Bonnie also played. Sheryl writes nice tunes and her lead guy (Pete) has great tone, but HOLY COW when Bonnie came on stage with Sheryl she dwarfed her in very respect. I can undrstand how someone would say Sheryl is a trumped up background singer who writes catchy tunes, but don't you go raggin Bonnie. She is the REAL DEAL and I am not talking about her guitar playing. I mean she can sing her ass off. She has a MONSTER voice. Sitting there a few feet away all night, Sheryl up on the mic and Bonnie back off it but still three times as much volume, presence and everything else... WOW what a set of pipes.

    Sorry for the sidetrack.
    Bonnie is a strat gal!

No I never dissed her voice.
Just the production-I think she could have been the "female Clapton" in terms of popularity, album sales, projects, etc.

Oh no, this thread is going into the gutter......better watch out for the Mods.....

But while we are at it, we may complain about a Les Paul's weight but man, I would not complain about the weight of those extension cabinets.....oh, the tone.....

    Re: Girls With Tele's

Of the ones that aren't identified, by post number:

    1) Terri Clark, Terri Clark (I think), Sheryl Crow

    4) Avril Lavigne with her signature Squier (I posted her as a joke, but I guess she's pretty cute)

    5) The magnificient Crissie Hynde

    11) Nancy Wilson of Heart (She's a Barracuda who may go Crazy On You)

    19) Much better picture of Nancy Wilson (rowrr), and some chick with big...drivers and a wig

    30) Jewel

    35) Avril Lavigne again, with a Fender instead of her sig. Squier

There. I think I got all of 'em that aren't identified.

    Re: Girls With Tele's

This thread just proves that Stratocasters are a mans guitar. Telecasters are more like Verboten Vrucht and thats what we want to see women play! Telecasters have that certain something that makes a girl appear sleazy, trashy, wanton and slutty by playing one.Thats what I want from a female artist.
