    Testing reverb tank?

I have a Fender Accoustasonic Jr. (non-DSP) amp and the reverb doesn't work. I've already tried the obvious switching of the cables on the tank in/out with no results. I can't find a schematic for the amp so I'm kind of at a standstill.

Is there a way to check the reverb tank itself separate from the amp? It's an Accutronics stamped 8EB2C10 and it's 9.25" long.

The amp also has a very obvious hum in it, would that be filter caps in a SS amp? I'd be surprised if the PS section of this runs over 36 volts since the PS filter caps are 50v. Inside the amp nothing looks burned or broken. Half dozen large transistors and 15 IC's, probably mostly opamps & the like. The amp does have functional chorus so I'm sure the one IC right behind the chorus control is likely for that.

Anyone have experience working on these things? Any help is appreciated.

    Cheers,
    - JJ

You can test each end for continuity. That will tell you if the circuit is open at either end. Also, open it up for a visual inspection to see if you've broken one of the tiny wires.
