    New drri reverb problem

Well, I know it's a warranty problem but just curious if anyone has had this problem just bought a new drri for my boy had it for 3 days and the reverb has quite working, I changed the tube and it worked for a day and took another dump the 12at7 is getting hotter the a pistol. I put another tube in and worked fine and once again took a dump, any ideas?

Maybe something wrong with V3's cathode resistor if the tube is running too hot? Is it just that one tube that's running hot?
If you bought it new I'd be invoking that warranty.

With a three day old purchase, you 'should' be able to walk out of the store with a new one.

sad part about it it was their last one I'd have to wait for a new one, got at the old price, just for the heck of it I tried another tube in it and nothing now so off it goes.

figured it out, ti's the foot switch something shorted out pulled the plug for the foot switch and the reverb works fine, and the tube cools down.

Mine did the same thing but I found it before it got a tube. If you will take the bottom off of the footswitch you will see the wire coming in thru the side. If you look at it you will see the center wire is the ground/common wire. Look real good & make sure that the wire going to the reverb switch is not touching the ground(center wire). That was what was wrong with mine. I seperated the wires real good & put some tape on it to keep it from happening again.
    Hope this helps

Sounds like Fender had some QC/QA probs wif a batch of re-issue footswitches. Mebbe some new hires fell asleep during the training class.

(in the service we'd call these troops "3-level gomers").

I'm checkin' all my footswitches. Just in case......

I had sort of the same problem with my new DRRI - the foot switch was bad from day one - i could not turn on the vibrato/tremelo what ever you want to call it - had to have it rewired!
