I would go with Buchanon (sp?) and gatton, though that guy that played on my cousin's last album is pretty damn good too. Trying to remember his name. He plays on Alan Jackson's albums too.
Edit - my old brain recalled it - Mason, Brett i think.

Come on guys. I couldn't resist.
Music will always find its way to us, with or without business, politics, religion, or any other bull$hit attached. - E.C.
Gah. Every time I see that guy in an ad in Guitar Player -- which seems to be two or three times a month -- I cringe. Maybe he's a great guitarist, I don't know, but I can't take a guy seriously who wears clown makeup and calls himself "John 5" (and I can't imagine he's very creative, given that he stole his look from "The Crow").
"...pray do not imagine that those who make the noise are the only inhabitants of the field;
that, of course, they are many in number; or that, after all, they are other than the little,
shriveled, meagre, hopping, though loud and troublesome, insects of the hour."
-Edmund Burke
Does anyone even remember when rob zombie was relevant?
that's what I thought. as a musician he has been basically in the shadows since y2k.
Look, Im sure the guy can play guitar, but its not exactly like he showed up and revived zombie's career. If a sober bloomfield or pre heroine page showed up at limp bizkits studio and said "this is my show" then even they could be popular again.
Mitch Mitchell talking about Jimi and strats in general.
If the walrus is Paul then who is Carmen Sandiego?
Supertele = NO
Diezel = NO
And that rendition of "Can't Take My Eyes" was absolutely horrible. I'd bet they could murder "Girl From Impanema" as well.
I get where they want to make it their own, but that's like puttin' pickles in your Wheaties. Some things just don't go together.

Robben Ford is one of the coolest jazz/blues dudes on the planet. I have seen him 3 times and the energy you have when you leave his shows is astounding!
I saw him a couple of years back and he played that Tele as well as his signature guitar and a beat up old Les Paul Gold - that what I can remember - the beer was tasting good that night....

y'all realise - this is subjective
do I look like I know what I'm doing?
Guys... I was curious about "John 5" after seeing his mug in about every guitar mag I have. Well... I went over to YouTube.com and did a search and this fella is a "monster" player! He can do the "chicken pickin'" deal and fusion and metal or about anything you want... the makeup is only his way of making a living among all the other weirdass MF's in LA. He's really a bad ass on that Tele. If you don't believe me go to YouTube and do a search and checkout some of his lessons. Hey... I don't go for the "clown makeup" either but the boy can play!
He's a huge fan of Bluegrass, if I remember correctly, and worked a lot as a session player. Like you say, the Marilyn Manson thing is just one part of his music career.
I read somewhere that he collects Telecasters, and is trying to make a collection that has one from every year of production.
i bet this really annoy's you if your a grammar freak.

Although known most for playing an LP Mick Ronson started with a Tele during ‘The Rats’ days and played Teles for most of his career with Ian Hunter et al

I remember seeing a few videos for one of Pete's 80's solo records, where he played a Tele. I don't know if it was Empty Glass, or All the Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes.
The other Pete was playing Andersons for quite a bit of his time with Dwight, and now has a signature model Reverend.

In the 80's he had a stint with some 52's....
