Yup. I am thinking I am going to put single coils in it. I am not a big P90 person, so I think I will just get 2 strat pups and mount them in using the same holes in the PG. Thoughts? I am more of a Jazzmaster fan than a Jaguar fan, so I think the strat pups will get me closer.

    Why not get Jazzmaster pups?

I always liked the Jagmaster. The Vistas are great guitars that are basically Fenders. A million miles from the junk the new Jagmasters are today.

I got a Vista Jag a few months back and stuffed some SD Phat Cats in it....I think it's time to try some JM pickups in it.

I modified the SD Phat Cats with some A5 magnets; much better, although this is still a cheap guitar with marginal tone qualities that really doesn't merit any more work or expense.

    Re: Vista Jagmaster

The Vista Jagmasters are great because they have a true 24" scale neck like a Mustang/Jaguar. The newer ones have "conversion necks. That said I think I am going to make a '72 deluxe clone in 24" scale from a new China jagmaster.

    Pics?
