Fender De Ville channel switching problem

When I use the "Channel Select" switch to select the overdrive channel, the audio on that channel is drastically reduced. The signal coming through that channel is barely audible. The clean channel works fine.

Any suggestions on what to check on the circuit ?

You should search the forum for this...this has come up a BUNCH of times here.

Look for anything relating to the 5W power resistors in the footswitch/channel switching circuits.

Yer - and how! Welcome to the forum but TJ's right - no point in starting another thread as there's loads on this particular fault already - this is probably the #1 fault on HR switching amps - you can download to schematic and layout from the FMIC website - basically the PCB's aren't built to take the heat these amps - and the Dv in particular - produce - Those 5W ceramics obviously get a tad warm - well... but it's a good place to start on this fault and be careful - the PCB's in these amps won't take much exposure to a soldering iron either - good luck!
