Do you know these speakers, and their specs?

First one is a 12" Utah ceramic/ferrite magnet, I think it is 4 ohms.
The numbers are still clearly visible and it says: MH12RC followed by 328248. Can any one tell me anything about this speaker? I looked high and low on the net a few months ago and could not find a thing.

    Next one is harder.

Silver painted frame 10" ceramic/ferrite magnet, 8 ohms. I do not know the maker of this one, and none of the numbers seem to match up with speaker supplier source codes on the charts I can find on-line.
Printing on back of magnet is still very clear and it says:
    33A0018
    10HU1672
    91 3 829
Can anyone tell me anything about this speaker?

    Thanks in advance!!

The code for Altec Lansing (JBL) is 391. Are you sure a number couldn't have rubbed off?

    Altec-Lansing is NOT JBL.

While there was some corporate collusion during WWII and into the '50s, that link was subsequently severed around the time that St. Leo had ramped up the Fender Electric Instrument Company for large-scale amp production during the "tweed era".

Vintage JBLs do not have a code! 391 is just for Altec Lansing.

Sorry, I thought JBL were part of Altec Lansing rather than something JB Lansing founded after leaving Altec Lansing.
Dang, that's some pretty complicated company history!

Both JBL an' Altec made some pretty righteous products "back in the day".

Our first decent PA was a 100-watt Bogen amp (remember those?!?!?) an' a pair of Altec "Voice Of The Theater" A-7s. This was back when most bands were usin' those crappy Shure Vocalmaster columns. The A-7s put 'em to shame!

Re: Do you know these speakers, and their specs?

Back in high school stage crew we had a pair of VT's driven by Shure rack mixers into a Bogen amp. Great sound.

We used to have a continuing war with the wood shop teacher next door because on sunny days we'd crank up Apostrophe' out the side doors of the auditorium, and play frisbee out on the front lawn.

Check your second speaker, the number 3 out of the 913 829 may be a faded number 8 which would make it a Oaktron made driver.
Sorry, I still have not been ableto find where my info a Utah ceraimic magnet drivers has got off to!
