    Hot Rod Deluxe/Deville Faceplate/Chassis

Has anyone found a fix for the (in my opinnion) sorry lettering on the faceplate on the Hot Rod Deluxe/ Deville amps. I have tried to find a chassis but Fender won't reply to emails. I have tried local repair shops which want to repair amps instead of help someone with parts. Is there anyone that makes an replacement knows of a fix for this problem?

    THANKS
    Jimmy

NTBluesGuitar has had some made by Weber - they're rather snazzy if you ask me...

    Thanks for the nod, Rob.

Guitarjk, I had my custom faceplates made from Weber, however, they were made for my Hot Rod Conversion that I did on my amp.

Since I gutted out all the Hot Rod circuitry and built in a Tweed Pro circuit (re-using all the Hot Rod iron and such), I needed a solution to cover all the unused holes. There are five that I didn't use.

Here's a thread where I showcased the Weber product:

With that said, you'd need to measure out all the holes on the HRD chassis and design something around them. The controls are not consistently spaced out, but once that's done you can have a control plate laser cut and just swap them out.

The Hot Rod faceplates just come right off when all controls and switches are unscrewed and the chassis is out of the cab.

    Hope this helps!

    Re: Hot Rod Deluxe/Deville Faceplate/Chassis

Update: After 10+ days recieved reply from Fender. They said that I would have to take amp to a FASC to have repaired. They won't supply part to me due to counterfeiting reasons. I quess I can understand that up to a point but I am not going to pay someone to do something that I am capable doing myself. Also the fact that it is to correct what in my opinion is a poor quality faceplate problem dosen't help much.

    Guitarjk,

If you're interested, e-mail me (tj@tjadamowicz.com), I have a couple of unused faceplates here now that aren't new, but the lettering on them is all intact.
