    To cure a fizzy distortion

    Ok when I record with distortion it sounds trebely
    and fizzy,but what I hear doesnt have that fizzy sound,
    just the recordings.

    Maybe the mic you're using, or mic placement could be the issue. Are you eq'ing the mic signal before it hits the tape? (or whatever recording media)

    Also try putting your head right in front of the speaker as you play. If it sounds trebley there, that's what the recording device is going to hear.
