Fender Footswitch Question

Hi there,
I'm just wondering whether or not any fender/marshall amp footswitch channel changer would work with my Hot Rod Deville 2x12

I know the official one has a clean/drive switch and a separate drive/more drive switch but i only really need the main switch to work (clean/drive).
Can anyone confirm if this is the case with any old amp footswitch?

Possibly, I know that the schematics are up on the Fender website, if they're any similar to a known amp with a single switch, then I'd say yes.

I'd use the footswitch designed for your amp. It's not just switches inside these as is the case for earlier Fenders.
