    bone nut

    I had a bone nut put on my dot and it over hangs the side a bit. Can I just file it down and if so what size of file. The shop that did it is a 2.5 hour round trip so I'd rather do it myself. thanks

    I'd use a fine, flat file. And LOTS of painter's tape on the neck around the work area.

    If it leaves little grooves from the file, you can sand it out with some 320 grit sandpaper, but the part is so small I would probably just leave it.
