My old tele into a Matchless
Howdy all.
Thought I would post this link:

It’s ~ 55 seconds of my 68 telecaster into a Matchless Spitfire.
I don’t get to record much with the wife and kids present.
The other track “one take” could use a remix.
It’s a Santana cover using my old Les Paul Jr.
Thanks for the listen!
Best regards,
Brian

Awesome!!! I must have played it like a thousand times already. I would love to hear more. Tell me more about your gear setup. Was that a drum machine? Awesome tone!!! Must hear more lol

Very, very nice '68!
I'm not hearing the Les Paul--the chords sound more like a keyboard or something.
Anyway, the Tele sounds terrific, and man, I've yet to hear a Matchless amp that didn't blow me away.

Howdy all.
My thanks for your kind words.
I probably should have posted this link instead:

“Tyler” was recorded using the TASCAM Pocketstudio 5 unit.
It’s a general MIDI file in the background/ drums keys.
An EV 257 mic.
Matchless Spitfire. RCA EL-84’s /Mullard 12ax7’s/ Sovtec GZ34/Weber Blue Dog (4ohm).
Matchless Hot was providing the gain on this one, also loaded with Mullards. (they are a very smooth tube).
A line 6 DL-4 for a bit of echo.
My tele is a 68 with factory Bigsby. I almost sold it early this year (a long story, thankfully, I was able to hang on to her.)
There are two files, “one take” was recorded using my old Les Paul Jr.
Again my thanks to all who listened.
This is truly a great site, one of my favourite spots on the net.
Best regards,
Brian
