how do i disconnect tone controls.....

hey all first off let me just say i am happy to be a part of this forum......

ok on to my ?......i have a fender squier strat.....and i would like to disconnect the tone controls......pretty much the way that the yngwie malmsteen strat comes......but i dont know what to do ....so if someone can give me some advice i would really appreciate it.......

follow the two wires from the two tone control pots to the 5 way switch and desolder them (but take notes of where they were first in case you want to reverse the process. )

I'm not familiar with the Yngwie strat. You wish to permanently disconnect the tone?

I've got that in my Telemocaster and like it quite a bit.
