wiring woes!!!!!!!!!!

ok i followed the schematic for the fender noiseless pup set - however i have all 3 pots working as volumes - 1-2-3 position on switch is the bottom tone volume - 4-5 positions are the middle tone volume - and the normal volume works as it should-------what did i do wrong???????????

the cap that you used for the tone controls is not grounded properly. redo the ground and that should fix your problem.

Thanks chuck!!! you da man!! - thats where the problem was - the schematic looked like there should have been a extra ground on that cap--so i had actually had it double grounded - got rid of 1 ---work the way it should - thanks again j

no problem man. it's frustrating to put a guitar together and not have it work. i've rewired a couple guitars for other people, and that was usually the culprit. for the future if you have a problem with a guitar you've wired, it's probably one of the grounds. glad you got it working, and enjoy your guitar!
