    engraved neck mounting plates

I remember seeing some pics of those engraved neck plates for bolt-ons but now can't seem to find any dealers. I found some on the 'bay, but I was thinking of getting an Eric Clapton one for the new MIM strat.

Anybody know of a source for these?

I've got them on all my Gibsons.

Have to work a little harder to screw one onto the back of the neck of a LP, but they all look so kewlll now!

Hey, anytime any of you guys want something engraved in a neck plate, give me a shout....
I did the TFF logo on the TFF Tele a couple years back and would be glad to help 'customize' your gits~

Brian, what happens when you etch it? I have a gold plate I wouldn't mind having something done on, but how do you protect the bare metal afterwards?

Telecast, I use a rotary engraving setup with a diamond tipped bit for metal. There's no need to do anything to protect the area after... it's the same process used in jewelry engraving, etc. I'm talking about simple designs and lettering here and logos though, not the full color photographic images like the ones you see on Ebay. I just did a neckplate for a hwy.1 strat I'm modding.

    Custom neck plates?

How about a neck plate with the TFT emblem.

Thanks, Chucko... I was glad to be a part (*small part*) of that project.
It's fun to do these, so send them on...
like I said, I just did a neckplate for my strat - I did my name in a really cool
scripty font, and just outlined it instead of filling it in. Really came out sharp, took about 10 minutes, and made for a cool little mod.

Cool! When the time comes for my project tele, how would i go about getting one either with my name on it or a TFF logo?

Yeah yeah yeah. Stop with the technical stuff!

I saw this one and liked it a lot, only difference would be a T instead of an F. Is this doable? I like the facets on the letter.
