Glad it's all fixed. If you are interestd in the Katana bass, shoot me an email. I won't be putting that on the 'bay as it really is too rare to just let go of, into unknown hands.

Bumped into a grumpy old man at Luton Airport tonight. He wouldn't drive me home in his leaky old Jag cause he was there meeting his daughter.

Gloria - Peter NeverGrewUp was the self styled "Grumpy old man" I bumped into.

I'm sure Peter said hi to everyone. It was about 11:30 and I was arriving from my trip to Geneva and and trying to get home as soon as possible after a long day. He was waiting to pick up his daughter from Gibralter. We had a quick chat and then I excused myself as I was beat and wanted to get home as soon as posisble.

But it was odd to bump into him like that.

    Morning all,

Nice day for a trip to Scarborough, particularly when you're going to see The Tokyo Dragons, The Glitterati, Hanoi Rocks (my fave band for a short time when I was a 20 year old Glam Rocker ;) ), Wildhearts and my beloved Terrorvision :)

    Re: UKFF's

Ok, Rock in the Castle was well worthwhile, despite the wind, rain and 1 hour queue for the beer tent!!!!!

Only caught The Glitterati's last song, but that's ok 'coz they're coming to Toon next month.

Hanoi Rocks were pathetic. Total shambles. Even Mike Monroe closed the set by saying it was their worst ever gig.

InMe, and Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster were interesting.

Terrorvision's "last ever" gigs are always emotional occasions, and I should know 'coz I've seen three of 'em ;) Brilliant as always. Tony Wright is my favourite rock front man.

Wildhearts are a band I've never had much to do with, but they have a passionate following, and put on a great show, Ginger smashing up a Les Paul (how hard is that?!) and some sparkly strat type, and flinging his flying vee up in the air and letting it crash into the stage. Maximum axe destruction rating. Both guitaists used huge Fender stacks BTW.

Surprise of the night were a band I'd never heard of called Hurricane Party, who headlined the second stage. If you like your rock long-haired, bare chested and sleazy, these are the boys for you. Brilliant lefty LP weilding guitarist, super-catchy rock songs, and every cliche in the book. I loved them and so did the girls. If the world was fair these lads would be bigger than Guns 'n' Roses. (Note: I had drunk about 8 pints of lager at this point).
